How to Host a Fashionably Frightening Monster High Party

Girls of all ages are becoming enamored with the glamorous, gruesome Monster High!

The line of creepy-cutesy dolls from Mattel launched in 2010 and has spawned books, movies, and costumes – for more info on Monster High and character bios, check out the Monster High post over on our sister blog at BuyCostumes!

But for Monster High party supplies, we’ve got that covered here at Birthday Express. Our Monster High Party Packs contain enough freaky yet fabulous Monster High party supplies to raise the dead (and then entertain them)!

Monster High can make  for an excellent birthday party theme, and it can even work as the backbone for any Halloween party! If you’re having a Monster High party anytime soon, then these party tips are for you.

Monster High Makeovers!

That’s right, our repertoire isn’t limited to just Monster High party supplies – make your party a makeover party! Guests can dress up like their favorite characters with our Monster High 3D Nail Design Set, temporary tattoo kit, and hair beading kit. Monster High accessories from BuyCostumes make the transformation complete!

Horrifying yet Heavenly Desserts!

Worm pudding is a classic Halloween treat, and fits perfectly with the Monster High theme. It’s a cinch to prepare too: mix up some instant chocolate pudding, stir in whipped topping for coloring purposes, and add gummi worms and crushed cookie pieces. You can make this a party activity by having the guests add their own toppings, too.

We also have to give a shout-out to Parents.com’s excellent list of scary treats, especially these witch cupcakes. Just top a sideways cupcake with a chocolate sugar cone and add decorator’s frosting for hair!

Cleo’s Mummy Race!

Divide the guests into teams for this party game. As a 5,000-year old mummy, Cleo de Nile is naturally never seen without her bandages. Team members must wrap themselves and each other up mummy-style – in toilet paper, white wrapping paper, or paper towels – and shamble to the finish line. First team to finish can take home some special Monster High favor baskets!
