Batter up – it’s Baseball Time!
Right now, we’re right in the middle of the winter doldrums. But, every day’s getting us closer to spring, and with spring comes the spring training season of America’s pastime – baseball! It doesn’t start up until mid-February, and Opening Day is not until March 22, but if your little slugger is just like us and can’t wait any longer for baseball time, throw a baseball birthday party with our brand new Baseball Time Party Theme!
This party pack contains enough baseball party supplies for an entire league’s worth of party guests – plates, cups, decorations and more are all in the box. Plus, since it’s designed by our amazing in-house team of designers, you’re not going to find this party theme anywhere else. Check out these baseball birthday party tips for more inspiration so you can really hit a home run with your party planning!
Hit it out of the park!
What’s a birthday party without a piñata? To really complete the theme with this 10 inch baseball piñata, have the kids try to crack it open with a plastic Wiffleball bat. (If you happen to get a particularly stubborn piñata, the adult supervision at the party can always take an aluminum bat to it!) Don’t forget the piñata filler!
Get a game together!
Speaking of plastic Wiffleball bats, Wiffleball makes a great party game! Any child can play and have a great time, regardless of skill. There’s also classic Wiffleball minigames like 500 and the Home Run Derby. This might not be feasible if you live in a cold area this time of year, but if there’s snow on the ground, you can bat around some snowballs for a fun twist on a snowball fight – make sure everyone is dressed warmly!
Baseball birthday cake!
It sure helps that baseballs are round! All you need for the perfect baseball cake is a round cake with white and red icing, or decorate a square cake as the baseball diamond.
You can also make a bunch of more realistically-sized baseball cupcakes. Decorate with a white Hostess Sno-Ball on top, before added red licorice laces, for a more spherical look.
